FIT Europe Data Protection Statement
FIT Europe is an international organisation established under the laws of France with its offices in Brussels, Belgium. It is a Regional Centre of the International Federation of Translators (FIT) and consists of translators and interpreters associations from various European countries. FIT Europe is committed to ensuring that any personal data it collects is protected. This statement outlines how we manage your personal information.
FIT Europe’s policy has been developed to meet the requirements of the Data Protection legislation of Belgium and the General Data Protection Regulation. FIT Europe may update this policy from time to time. This policy is effective from May 2018.
Personal Data held by FIT Europe:
In order to interact with its member associations, FIT Europe holds certain information relating to
representatives of its members associations which may be classified as personal data, including:
- names
- contact information (email, postal address,
telephone number).
Personal Data we may collect from you:
We may collect the above-mentioned personal data about you when you use our website, exchange correspondence with FIT Europe or sign up to attend events.
Such data is only used for the purpose of FIT Europe communicating with its member associations.
The contact persons within member associations change at regular intervals when new administrations of those member associations are elected. FIT Europe is notified at privacy@fit-europe-rc.org of those changes and the date controller/processor updates or deletes these records accordingly upon request.
Storage of Personal Data
Any information supplied by you is stored in electronic files in secure form that can only be
accessed by the authorised data controller/processor.
FIT Europe does not share this information with third parties for any purpose including marketing.
Sharing your Personal Data
FIT Europe does not share any personal data with third parties.
Right of Access to Personal Data
